We are very happy to celebrate Jan wrapping up an exceptionally productive year by successfully defending his PhD thesis and being awarded the distinction summa cum laude this week!
In his doctoral work, Jan explored intentional control, agency and awareness across a range of eye movements, from microsaccades to larger saccades and smooth pursuit, making important contributions to our understanding of visual and oculomotor behavior.
We are especially proud of Jan’s trajectory, as he started this line of research as a master’s student in our lab. We are even more delighted that he has decided to stay with us as a postdoctoral researcher.
