Several student RA positions available (SHK)

We are looking for several motivated students who would like to become part of the lab as student research assistants (Studentische Hilfskraft, SHK), starting in April / May 2022 (duration: 2 years).

We have a total of four positions available. One of these positions will be working entirely at the lab’s main facilities at the Department of Psychology at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (Adlershof; Rudower Chaussee 18). Three other positions are associated with the Excellence Cluster Science of Intelligence and will partly work at Technical University of Berlin (Charlottenburg; Marchstraße 23).

All positions have the same requirements. To be a successful candidate, you should study psychology, neuroscience, or a related field, and have a strong interest in the research topic of the group: active perception and cognition. The positions provide an opportunity to get involved in a broad range of tasks related to research (and, occasionally, teaching). In particular, you can gain hands-on experience in data acquisition using visual psychophysics, eye and motion tracking, as well as EEG. Experience with Matlab or Python for experimental control and Matlab, Python, or R is not required but you will be exposed to it on the job. Importantly, you should speak German and English to communicate with study participants and lab members.

Here are the two official announcements:

The deadline for applications is March 24, 2022 (extended). Please mention the reference number of the relevant position in the cover letter accompanying your application. To apply to both calls, please send two separate applications.
